Music & Dance Library

. . . BY STUDY AND ALSO BY FAITH

Welcome to the Music & Dance Library

The BYU Music & Dance Library functions as an integral unit of the Harold B. Lee Library in support of Brigham Young University's accomplished School of Music and Department of Dance. The Library serves a variety of related professional musical organizations and remote scholars. It also supports the musical enrichment of the entire campus, local community and worldwide membership of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

The collections of the Music & Dance Library rank among the finest and most respected in the nation. In addition to a substantial core collection of books, scores, sound recordings and journals, the Library is distinguished by extensive holdings of manuscripts, special collections and archives. Two of the most notable special collections are the International Harp Archives and the Primrose International Viola Archive. Total holdings are estimated to exceed 400,000 titles.

The facilities feature a spacious listening lab, a beautifully appointed reference and reading room, a technology enhanced seminar room, and a state-of-the-art audio and video preservation lab.
